ISC employs EFL teachers and activity leaders throughout the six weeks of our residential summer school at Bloxham School, Oxfordshire.
Teachers
-
Teachers must hold a degree and CELTA/Trinity/DELTA certificate or PGCE in MFL/Primary/English and have at least a year's teaching experience. A university certificate in ELT/TESOL courses is also accepted. A DELTA or equivalent is an advantage.

Our experienced director of studies and senior teacher manage the teaching programme.

Along with teaching responsibilities, our teachers are involved in the activity and excursion programmes and have pastoral duties.

Candidates must be professional, reliable and able to work under pressure.

Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills are a requirement.

Enthusiasm, energy and proactiveness are vital.

Candidates must be able to work effectively as part of a team and provide a positive role model for students.

Our teachers attend and participate in training sessions held each course.
Activity Leaders
Our activity leaders are involved in the activity and excursions programmes and carry out pastoral duties. An activity director and assistant activity director manage the activity programme and excursions.

Candidates should have good leadership skills and be a positive role model for students.

Qualifications in sports coaching and first aid are an advantage as are demonstrable skills in drama, sports, dance or arts and crafts.
